About the Event

There are underwater hockey clubs from Plymouth to the Orkney Islands open to junior players. Some clubs take new members from eight years old. The most important thing is* that they should be able to swim a reasonable distance and be comfortable in the water whilst learning to play Underwater Hockey. It can take some time to learn the skills necessary to play effectively, or to become confident enough to play in matches, competitions and tournaments, but meanwhile it is always possible to have fun and play in the games. Team South West normally attend the Junior Regional Underwater Hockey championships with teams from all age groups (U12, U14, U16 and U19). Our club is normally instrumental in the organisation of the event and parents, coaches and referrees from Team South West help to ensure the championship is a success.
